Christmas at Our House

Merry Christmas!
I absolutely love this time of year! As I was getting my Christmas decorations out I decided that I might be a little addicted to Christmas!! I didn't even put it all out!
So here are a few pictures of what's been going on around here!

So lots of holiday cheer around here! Decorating, falling snow, crafting, knitting, sewing, wrapping, baking, black walnut fudge, brown paper packages tide up with string and melting snow, have all been a part of this December!

Also we got new phones...I know, it was about time. My flip phone was a little out dated. Is it weird that I had a little anxiety over getting the smart phone? I have a love/hate relationship with change.
I signed up with Instagram so come find me! I'm trying to figure it all out.

Have a great weekend!

A Little DIY Craft

Um...hello....I'm not sure if anybody still reads this little old blog of mine. If so, welcome!
It's been over a month since I posted anything! I have no excuse except one. Life Happened!!
I can't believe it's November already. Time is flying by this fall.
Work has been busy and the weekends have been full!

I have been eating my share of Apple Cider Donuts  and drinking lots of Cider from the best Apple farm around! I just can't help myself! They are so yummy and I only devour them around this time of the year! So I have to get them while I can!

Last week I needed to be crafty.
Does that ever happen to you? Do you ever just need to make something? To create something?
This is what I came up with. Nothing to fancy, not to difficult or time consuming, but it satisfied my craving to be crafty!

This is what you will need:
Some burlap
Stapler
Stretched canvas ( whatever size I used a 5x7)
Stencils
Paint

Stretch burlap over the canvas and staple. My burlap was a little small but I made it work.

Then I just started stenciling and painting until I felt like it was what I wanted.

Then I hung it on the wall with some old family photos!

Love It! I might have to make some more in different sizes!

Have a wonderful fall weekend!! Maybe do some crafting....

Hello Its My Birthday and Its Fall

I just want to start off by saying that today is my 31st Birthday!
If you called me today I would answer the phone by saying "Hello, its my Birthday".
Isn't that a great idea!?
I got that from my fun friend Holly! You can find her and her girls here!

Last week I did some fall decorating around the house. I love this time of year!
I think I've said that a few times the last few post...

Dining room table..

Buffet

Fireplace cubby. I love this cubby!

See this piece of wood stuck in the brick...it was there when we uncovered the brick. I like it so much. It makes me smile. This is just one more thing that makes our old house so unique! At least that's what I call it...

Office

I also made peanut butter chocolate chip cookies last week.
I might have called myself a genius for doing so.

Have a great week friends!

Gone Fishing...

....Not really. We don't fish.
I think I can count on one hand how many times I've been fishing.
However, I had a little fishing treat today!

This Bass tackle box belonged to my husbands grandfather and it was full of lures!
The boxes had really cool lettering!

And a fun little metal tin full of  hairy ones.
I'm sure they have a better name but I'm not a fisherman remember.,,

There were a ton of lures in that little box!
I just kept pulling them out and getting more excited with each one!
 They are so fantastic!!
This screen has been hanging in the mudroom for several years. It came from my husbands grandmas chicken house before he tore it down. It has displayed many different things and is constantly changing!

Aren't these amazing!!??

They would make great jewelry!

These little guys look like bugs! I think fish like bugs. I think..

This little red and white one is going to be made into a necklace for myself!

 There are all sizes!

 Tiny ones...

Big ones...

Skinny ones...

Stripes and spots...

And super shiny!!!

I LOVE IT!!!!
This hand warmer was also in the tackle box!

I don't know why I have waited so long to display these!
They made me so happy today!!
