Laundry and Spring Things

I know I have mentioned that I like to do laundry, but I really like to do laundry in the spring and summer!

I love hanging clothes on the line! Especially the bed linens. Its just not the smell of them but its the whole process. I really enjoy the act of hanging the laundry and then seeing it blow in the wind and how it sounds when it whips back and forth. It is peaceful to me.

The peonies are right next to the clothes line and they smell amazing right now!

Doing dishes has been a little more pleasant lately thanks to this lovely rose bush outside the window.



Lilacs Galore

The Lilacs have been blooming around these parts and they are beautiful! I love flowers in my house. I think it adds freshness and a little something pretty to a room.

They just make me smile.

This bouquet I bought at Kroger for $5. I didn't think that was bad and they will last a few weeks.

This is on the dining room table.

These are the tulips that were on the mantel. They are now on my stand next to my bed. I added a few pieces out of my Kroger bouquet.

These are in the milk crate on the coffee table. Again from the Kroger bouquet. I can get several bouquets out of one bunch of flowers which makes it a pretty good deal.

These are lilacs off of my bush in the front yard. These are sitting on the dresser in the bedroom.

My bush doesn't have a ton of blooms but my favorite neighbor Bertha has a HUGE bush in her back yard and she let me have an egg basket full!! I LOVE Bertha!

....and in the kitchen window so I can smell them while I do dishes.

Lilacs replaced the tulips on the mantel.

And I added some to the bathroom!

My house smells wonderful!

What's Bloom'n...?

Hello friends. I hope this finds everyone enjoying their weekend!! Here is what's bloom'n in my back yard...

Peonies..my absolute favorite flower ever!! 

These are getting ready to burst open!! I just wish they lasted longer.

Does anyone know what these are? I love them..they come up every year and they are a pretty purple.

Let me know if you do...

I've been eating a lot of asparagas.

I love it this time of year..

What to do with it...??

Add it to another favorite....Pasta!!
