Hello Its My Birthday and Its Fall

I just want to start off by saying that today is my 31st Birthday!
If you called me today I would answer the phone by saying "Hello, its my Birthday".
Isn't that a great idea!?
I got that from my fun friend Holly! You can find her and her girls here!
Last week I did some fall decorating around the house. I love this time of year!
I think I've said that a few times the last few post...
Dining room table..

Fireplace cubby. I love this cubby!

See this piece of wood stuck in the was there when we uncovered the brick. I like it so much. It makes me smile. This is just one more thing that makes our old house so unique! At least that's what I call it...

I also made peanut butter chocolate chip cookies last week.
I might have called myself a genius for doing so.
Have a great week friends!

Easy Organization

This is what our desk has looked like for most of the summer!

Do to the business my husband has been doing lately, we have had a lot of blueprints laying around!
So I went out to the barn to see what I could find to help with corralling the mess!
I tend to have lots of random things in the barn that I collect at sales and such.

I found this large crock and it works great!!

Country Living Fair

Hello! How are you all today?
I wanted to share my fun weekend with all of you but I didn't take any pictures!!
I had great fun at the Country Living Fair!
I go every year with my husband, sister and niece!
I enjoy it so very much!
The creativity is AMAZING!! If you every have the opportunity to go you should!!
This is the only picture I have. My sissy took it for me!
This is Cari form the show Cash and Cari!
She had a booth set up and it was so busy!!
The weather was perfect!! Even a little chilly. It totally felt like fall!
We also went to a tractor show. It was the least I could do for my fantastic husband after he stood all day at the CLF!!!

Apple Days

You know Fall is near when you find yourself picking apples!
I am blessed to have a place where I can pick all the apples I want for free!
I picked a Bushel and a half and could have picked more if I could have reached them.

They were a little small but tasted good!
So I made apple sauce! I'm pretty sure these were Winesap apples.

Core the apples and cut any bad spots out. Put them in a large pot with about 2-3 cups of water.
Cook them until tender. Stirring very often so the ones on the bottom don't burn.

I have this great attachment for my kitchen aid that makes easy work of smashing the apples into sauce. I didn't have this the first few years I made sauce and boy does it make a difference!

I added 4 cups of sugar to 15 pints of sauce. The apples were a little tart so you can add or subtract the amount of sugar to your taste. I have a sweet tooth!
I also added some water until I got the consistency that I like. Not to thick and not to thin.

I then jarred it and processed it in a water bath for 20 minutes!
I love having it!
And I LOVE Fall!!!

I had a wedding shower to attend a last week so I looked to Pinterest, of course, for inspiration!
I went with a Yellow theme and added some of my favorite things inside a great jar! I love jars and containers!

It was fun to put together and even more fun to give!
