Another week!

I took a couple days off. As always Sunday was a day of rest and visiting with family.
So the weekend is over and we begin yet another week! I can't believe January is half over! Time flies when your having fun!

This time of year I start thinking about my garden and what I want to plant. I get several seed catalogs in the mail and I love looking through them. There are so many different plants out there its crazy! I always like to try something thats a little out of the ordinary! Last year, chocolate tomatoes, which by the way do not taste like chocolate! I was despartely disappointed... heirloom veggies of all sorts. Its fun growing things! I  will keep you informed on how that goes!

As you may know, I have chickens. They lay a good assortment of brown, green, and blue eggs! Fun yeah?? Anywho, my chicks are getting old and have started to slow down on the egg laying so I will be replacing them with new chicks this spring! Its so fun getting baby chicks. They are so soft and cute...and they won't attack you! I have a mean rooster...more on that later...

I have been looking at different kinds of chickens on the web and in catelogs! I always look for unique and rare breeds. I call them fancy chickens!

I will keep everyone informed on how my chicken search turns out. I have a month before I have to order them.
Have a great day everyone!

P.S. Sorry there are no pictures..I'll make sure i get some for ya!

  1. I would love to have chickens. About this time every year I think, maybe this year we can do it. We would have to build a coop and make sure our dog wouldn't eat them!
    Good luck with yours!

  2. I see the "home" page!!!! Did you get it figured out????? Call me...I finally got mine to look right and function right too....trial and error---mostly error!!! Your post makes me long for Spring....I'm so ready. In the next couple of weeks our house is going on the market with Sibcy Cline....Becky tells me spring is the best time to sell everyone starts looking....we'll see what happens!
